Or in tonight’s case, the barbell. Utilising pretty much every major muscle in the body, the deadlift is a highly functional compound movement. It’s also really fun to pick up heavy stuff!

Our athletes had to find a 1 rep max which saw lots of PBs and a new gym record by David.

We followed this with a deadlift/box jump combo adapted from CrossFit One World.

Find a 1 rep max Deadlift

then

On the minute for 10 minutes perform

3 Deadlift @70% of your 1 rep max
6 Box Jumps (24″/20″)

For every minute you fail to complete the required reps, do 10 burpees at end of workout
