That’s ‘as many rounds as possible’ and ‘Max Ground to Overhead’. We CrossFitters do love our acronyms.
Another thing we love is our community and these gatherings are a huge part of what it means to be CrossFit. Today ladies from several of the local (and one not so local) CrossFit affiliates gathered again to workout together and then enjoy a well deserved coffee & cake. I love these workouts as they’re a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. Another thing that these workouts bring home is just how amazing we CrossFit women are – strong, determined, generous and bloody funny.
Hayley, Rebecca, Emma & Jill made the journey down from CrossFit Clitheroe and it was lovely to meet them. Big thanks to Jill who was unexpectedly press-ganged into being chief photographer and mistress of the stopwatch!
We split up into teams of two for a 15 minute partner version of the CrossFit benchmark Cindy and this was followed by a 10 minute window to achieve a maximum lift from the ground to the overhead position. Team Bev and Hayley got an incredible 21 rounds and total GTOH of 125kg – impressive stuff ladies!
As many rounds as possible in 15 minutes of
5 Pull Ups
10 Press Ups
15 Squats
One partner runs 200m while the other accumulates Cindy reps. They swap at the end of each run.
Immediately afterwards, in a 10 minute window find your maximum weight for a Ground to Overhead lift.
Jane & Rebecca – 14 rounds, J 55kg, R 50kg = 105kg
Sharron & Emma – 12 rounds, S 50kg, E 52.5kg PB = 102.5kg
Bev & Hayley – 21 rounds, B 60kg, H 65kg = 125kg
Karen & Lozza – 10 rounds, K 40kg = 40kg
Heather & Christine – 6 rounds, H 14kg, C 14kg = 28kg
