On Monday the 26th of March Sergeant Luke Taylor, 33, from Bournemouth was shot dead at the gates of Lashkar Gah main operating base; the British HQ in Helmand, Afghanistan.
A few days ago 6 British Soldiers were killed in Afghanistan. Former Royal Lee Howe from CrossFit Teeside put together a HERO workout so that the UK CrossFit Community could pay their respects.
It can hard to get going first thing on a Saturday morning particularly when it’s cold, damp and grey. CrossFit Hero workouts are notoriously tough both physically and mentally. This proved to be a rather heinous combination for our athletes this morning but they all pulled through.

Tonight we worked on Push Jerk technique then did a variation of the CrossFit Hero Workout ‘Jack’ where the push presses were replaced with push jerks.
Today was our first hero workout, DT. CrossFit has many fans within law enforcement, firefighting and the military because of the broad fitness it develops.
